DPT Program Honors the Class of 2025

The Doctor of Physical Therapy program at DeSales University celebrated the accomplishments of the Class of 2025 during a special recognition and awards ceremony held on campus.

Kay Malek, Ph. D., immediate past program director, opened the event with a warm welcome and introductions. University President Fr. James Greenfield, OSFS ’84, Ed.D., delivered an inspiring address, commending the graduates for their commitment to compassionate care.

The class selected Jack Knowles to speak on their behalf, sharing heartfelt reflections and gratitude for the shared experiences that shaped their academic journey.

Students were recognized with awards for academic achievement, clinical excellence, professional excellence, research excellence, and Salesian spirit, followed by the formal conferral of diplomas and hooding ceremony. The doctoral hood serves as a universal symbol of scholarly achievement and represents both honor and the responsibility associated with earning an advanced degree.

The ceremony concluded with the recitation of the Physical Therapy Professional Oath—a powerful affirmation of each graduate’s dedication to their future patients and the profession.

Twenty-five students participated in the celebration, joined by faculty, family, and friends as they marked this milestone and prepared to embark on the next chapter of their careers.
