University moves up in U.S. News & World Report national rankings

DeSales University has once again earned recognition from U.S. News & World Report, improving its position across several key national categories in the newly released rankings.

This year, DeSales is ranked:
• No. 293 in national universities (up 13 from last year)
• No. 308 in top performers on social mobility (up 55 from last year)
• No. 480 in undergraduate nursing

"These improved rankings reflect the continued strength of our academic programs and our commitment to student success," said Terri Wignot, Ph.D., provost of DeSales University. "As a Catholic, Salesian university, we are proud to offer a transformative education that prepares students for lives of purpose and leadership."

The "Top Performers on Social Mobility" category measures how well schools graduate economically disadvantaged students, particularly those who qualify for Pell Grants. DeSales’ rise in this ranking reflects the university’s mission-driven focus on equity, access, and student support at every stage of the college journey.

The undergraduate nursing ranking highlights the strength of DeSales' respected BSN program, known for clinical excellence and strong career outcomes.

These rankings highlight areas of continued progress for the University. As DeSales maintains its place among national institutions, its focus remains on providing a supportive academic environment and preparing students for meaningful careers and lives.
