Evan Shimkanon is an instructor of computer science at DeSales University. Professor Shimkanon earned a B.S. and M.S. in Computer Science from Kutztown University with specializations in data mining and predictive analytics, operating systems, and network security and infrastructure.
Mr. Shimkanon's teaching and research interests include network security, programming languages, and sustainable computing.
He is a member of the Association of Information Technology Professionals of the Lehigh Valley (AITP), the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), and the Assocation of Computing Machinery (ACM).
He is passionate about helping students of any level become proficient software developers.
He currently lives in Breinigsville, PA, and is a Lehigh Valley native.
