Dr. Sue Migliore is an assistant professor in the Doctor of Physical Therapy program at DeSales University since 2014. She received her undergraduate Bachelor of Science degree in physical therapy from The University of Connecticut. She received a Master of Science degree in advanced clinical practice in physical therapy from Quinnipiac College (now Quinnipiac University). Her transitional doctorate in physical therapy was earned from Temple University.
Dr. Migliore has over 30 years of clinical experience, working with adults and children in Level 1 trauma centers, rehabilitation units, and outpatient clinics. She is an ABPTS board certified pediatric clinical specialist and has worked exclusively with children over the past 27 years. Her areas of clinical expertise in pediatrics include developmental delay, torticollis, idiopathic toe walking, spasticity management and serial casting, orthotic prescription, post-concussion care, and wound/burn care.
Dr. Migliore’s teaching responsibilities occur throughout all three years of the curriculum. Her primary teaching responsibilities are for Differential Diagnosis and Intervention: Pediatrics, and Clinical Reasoning 2 with a pediatric pro bono clinic. She is a co-instructor in Foundations of Patient Care 1 and 2, Differential Diagnosis and Intervention: Adult Neurology, Clinical Reasoning 1 and 3, and a lecturer in Differential Diagnosis and Intervention: Lower quadrant, and Special Populations.
In addition to her teaching responsibilities, Dr. Migliore is a faculty mentor for student research projects and case reports. Her current project is looking at the effects of experiential learning in pediatrics on students' self-efficacy and confidence.
When not in the classroom or clinic, Dr. Migliore enjoys spending time with her husband and two children. She is an avid sports fan and enjoys golfing.
