With guidance from licensed clinicians, DeSales students serve Lehigh Valley residents who are uninsured or seeking convenient care. We provide caring, affordable medical, speech, and physical therapy services while giving students valuable real-world healthcare experience.

DeSales Healthcare Clinics

DeSales Free Medical Clinic

Located inside the Allentown Rescue Mission in center city Allentown, Pennsylvania, the DeSales Free Clinic allows our Physician Assistant students to deliver competent and compassionate medical care to one of the area's most vulnerable populations. The clinic is open two evenings per week to the men seeking shelter or enrolled in a recovery program at the Allentown Rescue Mission and provides primary care, acute care, laboratory services, and medications free of charge.

The DeSales Free Medical Clinic

Center for Communication Sciences and Disorders (CCSD)

The Center for Communication Sciences and Disorders provides a comprehensive range of screening, diagnostic, and therapy services to pediatric and adult individuals with communication and swallowing difficulties. Services include speech, language and swallowing screenings, comprehensive diagnostic evaluations, and individual and group therapy sessions. This clinic is embedded in the curriculum, so a referral for service is not required.

The Community Wellness and PT Clinic

Physical therapy is available for community members at the Community Wellness and PT clinic, which offers evidenced-based physical therapy services to decrease pain and improve function of patients. The Clinic provides greater access to PT services for the community, while giving students hand-on learning opportunities. This clinic is embedded in the curriculum, so a referral for service is not required.
