Outcomes
The program helps students identify and switch to an academic major of their choice. This matches the university's mission to foster talent and lifelong learning within a Christian framework. The Pre-Nursing program at DeSales University allows first-year students who don't initially qualify for the Nursing major the ability to gain acceptance after the first year by meeting certain grade requirements.

No major is offered in Exploratory Studies. Exploratory studies is a transitional academic program. The program is for students who are exploring potential majors and career pathways.
Yes. You may earn acceptance into the Nursing major at the end of your first year as long as you earn a culminate GPA equal to or higher than 2.75 at the end of the spring semester of your first year. Additionally, you must obtain a grade C or higher in the following courses, taken at DeSales University:
- Biology 263: Anatomy & Physiology I
- Biology 264: Anatomy & Physiology II
- Chemistry 107: Physiological Chemistry
- Psychology 109: Introduction to Psychology
