A Message from the Dean

Welcome to the Waterbury Reilly School of Business at DeSales University. As you explore our programs, I believe you will be inspired by the accomplishments of our dedicated faculty, staff, and students. What truly sets us apart is the caliber of our students—both in their academic excellence and in their commitment to leading with integrity and service.

DeSales University, founded in 1964 by the Oblates of St. Francis de Sales, is rooted in the Catholic Salesian tradition. We believe in educating the whole person—mind, body, and spirit—in the spirit of gentleness, humility, hospitality, wisdom and gratitude. At the Waterbury Reilly School of Business, we cultivate an environment where students can discover their purpose and passion, while also gaining the knowledge, skills, and ethical grounding needed to become leaders who make a meaningful impact in their organizations and communities.

Through our business core, you will gain a strong foundation that prepares you to pursue one of our specialized majors in business. Combined with the liberal arts education central to the DeSales experience, you will graduate with not only the technical expertise employers seek but also the deeper understanding of humanity that distinguishes truly great leaders. This holistic approach opens the door to excellent internships, career opportunities, and lifelong success.

The Waterbury Reilly School of Business is committed to providing a transformational education that shapes not only your career but your character. We will challenge you, support you, and walk with you as you prepare to “Be who you are and be that well.”

I invite you to visit us, experience a class, and see firsthand how we prepare our students to live with purpose, lead with integrity, and serve others.
