A Message from the Dean
Welcome to the Waterbury Reilly School of Business at DeSales University. Here, our dedicated faculty, staff, and students are united by a commitment to academic excellence, ethical leadership, and service to others.
Rooted in the Catholic Salesian tradition, we strive to live out the values of gentleness, humility, gratitude, wisdom, and hospitality in all we do. These values shape not only how we learn, but how we lead and serve in the world.
Our students benefit from a strong academic foundation, hands-on internships, personalized career development, and a supportive alumni network. Together, these experiences prepare graduates for success while forming them into leaders who live with purpose and integrity.
At DeSales, business is more than a profession—it’s a calling to use your gifts in service to others. I invite you to visit us, join a class, and see how the Waterbury Reilly School of Business can help you “Be who you are and be that well.”

Bloesch Student Investment Fund
The Bloesch Student Investment Fund gives students the opportunity to gain real-world experience in investments, securities analysis, and portfolio management.
Thanks to several donors, students will invest actual dollars in the stock market as part of a classroom experience. The Investment Fund allows students to emulate what financial professionals do day in and day out. Students apply the theories and financial equations they have learned to real world applications, and are provided with a deeper understanding of the markets. This is not only a great learning opportunity, but a resume-enhancing skill set.
"Investment Practicum (FN3000) is a series of seminar-style meetings where we will discuss company valuation and performance metrics, meet with industry practitioners, and pitch investment ideas. The course is open to all students — not just finance majors! — who have taken FN331 or FN361 (or with instructor permission)." — Finance Chair Bradley Barnhorst, CFA
Funding
We are extremely grateful to the donors who have made this possible. Special thanks to DSU Business grads and brothers, Keith Bloesch ’97 and Eric Bloesch ’94, for their leadership and naming gift.
Keith Bloesch ’97 spent 15 years working as a management consultant in the entertainment, media, and communication industries. Since 2012 he has been working as a Managing Director at the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) where he leads the Financial Reporting and Project Management teams.
Eric Bloesch ’94 has spent about 25 years working in public accounting. He currently leads KPMG’s SAP Risk Consulting practice. His focus has been on audit, strategy, and business transformations.
The Goals
- Helping our students be more competitive in the job market.
- Providing an invaluable real-world experience for our students to add to their resumes.
- When the fund grows through successful investing, a portion of the gains will be used to provide scholarships for future DeSales students.
